Resolution of Generic Safety Issues: Item B-21: Core Physics ( NUREG-0933, Main Report with Supplements 1–35 )

DESCRIPTION

The NRC staff has a variety of ongoing or planned technical activities related to core physics. For the most part, these activities are directed at improving the NRC staff's analytical and computer capabilities for performing independent analyses related to such areas as reactor kinetics, predicting static core physics characteristics, core parameters for transient analyses, and MCPR and DNBR. This NUREG-04713 task is to coordinate all staff reactor physics efforts into a single program with clearly defined objectives. Additional generic tasks

may be identified as a result of this effort.
